13th Massachusetts Blog

Brad Forbush, long time researcher on the 13th Massachusetts Infantry, has launched a blog focused on the study of that regiment.  Brad and I have exchanged information over the last few years where his interest intersected with my marker hunting.

The 13th Massachusetts saw active service in the Shenandoah, Northern Virginia, and almost all the major campaigns in the East up to their mustering out in 1864.  Little wonder I have run across several monuments to the regiment, as well as markers mentioning the 13th, at sites ranging from 2nd Massassas to  Antietam to Gettysburg to Fredericksburg.

I’ve added the blog to my rollup on the right, as an “Information Compilation” blog.  Welcome to the blogosphere, Brad!

  1. Craig,
Thanks so much for the announcement. I enjoy your work very much ! I’m finding that I like to blog, and that I have a few things to say.

    • Brad, I’m looking forward to reading some of the products of your research. Blogging, for me at least, is a welcome release. You get out of it what you put in. Craig.
